What is Hypnobirthing?
Courses with tools to support you having a calmer, informed and confident birth experience.
Hypnobirthing is essentially Hypnosis for birth (they didn’t go original on the title!) and it’s useful in offering you grounding techniques to stay calm, release fear which affects you mentally and physically in birth, gain confidence and ways you and your birth partner work to support birth. Whilst a lot more people are talking about it now, which is great! Hypnosis in birth is not a new idea and clinical trials date back to the 1950s.
Here at Tranquil Birth we are about supporting all births in being as emotionally safe as possible, so also have a whole range of additional techniques in our courses too, so you get all the benefits of Hypnobirthing tools plus ways to consider the wider journey through and beyond birth; physically and emotionally for all your family.
It’s not ‘one, two, three, go into a trance and wake up with a baby’. The hypnobirthing process is not necessarily about hypnosis, it’s often about focusing on something other than the pain of labour and that’s not something that’s particularly new.
